Report pdf . Summary of Watershed Health Indicators for the Oregon Coast Coho ESU 2007.
Online Reports. Detailed Data Reports that provide the documentation for the limiting factors summary.
Purpose
Summarize watershed conditions and limiting factors for Oregon coast watersheds within the range of the Oregon Coast Coho Salmon ESU. The report submitted to OWEB is at the 5th Field HUC scale.
The Default watershed unit for this effort is the 5th Field HUC, however, the database was set up to allow data entry at the 6th field scale as an option. WPN has summarized the data at the 5th Field watershed scale.
Procedure
The WPN consultants have completed the list of Watershed Health Condition Indicators in cooperation with the Oregon Coast Watershed Councils, and developed an internet data entry system. Watershed Councils have input information on the following:
1) Rating of Watershed Health Indicator: Limiting, Moderate, Adequate, or Insufficient Information.
2) Confidence Rating: High, Moderate, Low
3) Variability: High, Moderate, Low (Heterogeneity within the 5th Field)
3) Documentation - including the source of the information, and variability in the 5th Field HUC. Variabulity is rated as High, Moderate or Low.
Data Entry System
The database consists of two linked databases: 1) Literature Citation Database, and 2) Indicators Database. The database is password protected. The Passwords have been sent to you separately.
Access the database by clicking the Insert navigation button at the bottom of this page. Then enter the passwords. Your computer should save the passwords so you only have to enter this once. The Insert button goes to the Insert New Record Page.
Moving between databases : You can switch between Citations database and Indicators database list of records. At the top of the Records page, there is a drop-down choice between Limiting Factors and Citations.
Literature Citations
Use this database to enter reports, data sources, and links referenced in the Documentation section. Once these are entered then use a standard citation in the rationale section. For example, "(ODFW 2007)" is used consistently as a reference to "ODFW, 2007. Oregon Coast Coho Conservation Plan for the State of Oregon. ODFW, Salem, Or."
